Dr. Avo Samuelian

After graduating from University of California Los Angeles, Dr. Samuelian attended New York University College of Dentistry and received his doctorate in dental surgery in 1998. Dr. Samuelian was elected to Membership of the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon. OKU recognizes academic and clinical excellence in dentistry. 

Dr. Samuelian continued his dental training and education at New York Hospital Queens with a residency in general practice with emphasis in cosmetic dentistry. 

Dr. Samuelian has been in private practice since then. He has placed his expertise in building a successful and relaxed atmosphere to treat patients and to change patients' preconceived notions of dentistry. 

Memberships include American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, First District Dental Society.

Sarah

Sarah has been a dental hygienist for Gotham Dental for over 15 years. She was a General Dentist for 9 years in Europe. When she moved to NYC, she got her degree at NYU Kaiser Dental school for Dental Hygiene. She graduated as valedictorian of her class. Many of Sarah’s patients are so loyal to her that they have been with the office since she started. Sarah is passionate about her work and her patients.

Patricia

Patricia has been a dental hygienist for over 20 years. Prior to achieving her degree as a hygienist, she studied Expanded Duties Dental at the University of Florida. She also practiced at a Periodontal office for years and her specialty is in Periodontal disease and implant care, with expertise in areas of tooth sensitivity, oral lesions, dry mouth, halitosis and the systemic link and oral hygiene instruction. It is her belief (as it is the office's) that dental health is extremely important to have a strong immune system. Patricia works with her patients to address any issues and help get their teeth to optimal health.

Ana

Originally from Brazil, Ana graduated from São Paulo State University's prestigious Araraquara School of Dentistry. Ana moved to the US in 2005 and has been a dental assistant ever since. She enjoys taking care of patients and helping them build a great foundation to a healthy body by starting with their smile. On her free time, Ana loves traveling with her husband, so you might hear about an adventure or two at your next visit.

Dr. Alejandro Castano

Dr. Castano is board certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery. He has engaged in clinical research and published works in major scientific dental journals regarding novel treatment of oral melanoma, periodontal plastic surgery in areas of prominent roots, posterior immediate dental implants, and simultaneous hard and soft-tissue augmentation in the esthetic zone. His latest publication discusses the implementation of additive manufacturing (3D printing) in dental bone grafting procedures.

Dr. Castano is originally from Colombia, South America and immigrated to the United States with his mother and father in 1995. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and has a passion for college football. His hobbies include motorsports, cycling, bonsai, and traveling.

Dr. Andre Montazem

Dr. Andre Montazem is Gotham Dental’s in office oral surgeon. He is the Director of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens, NY, performs reconstructive surgery at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center and The Mount Sinai Hospital. He is a graduate from the New Jersey Dental School of the University of Medicine and Dentistry with Honors and was named to the distinguished Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
